Trained in 2002, Papa Yun has been a donut baker for over a decade and counting! After years of management training, Papa Yun and Mama Yun have been blessed with an opportunity with Papa Yun's Donuts and decided to go all-in.
Formerly called Daylight Donuts with the previous management team, Papa Yun and his family decided to take over the business officially as Papa Yun's Donuts as of July 2014. Since then, Papa Yun, Mama Yun, and Annie have joined forces to produce a wide variety of options, ranging from traditional donuts, savory breakfast items, kid-friendly/custom donuts, now to even cookies, cupcakes, and cakes!
Mama Yun, wife of Papa Yun of 35+ strong years and counting, focuses most of her time with the savory breakfast products like our sausage rolls, breakfast sandwiches, and even helps out with the front register as needed. Annie, the daughter of Papa and Mama Yun decided to let go of the dental field and join her parents to produce the kid-friendly/customizable donuts such as our custom birthday donuts, our Disney characters, cro-nuts, and the list just goes on and on!
Annie is currently a 4.0 GPA student at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Dallas, in the Pastry and Baking program. As she continues her education and training at Le Cordon Bleu while working alongside both parents and helping manage Papa Yun's Donuts, she plans to use those gains in running her own businesses in the industry. Annie's anticipated graduation date from Le Cordon Bleu is September 2017, where she will then also go "all-in" to continue on the family business in hopes of further expanding locations to provide a little bit of Papa Yun's all around the metroplex!
